In March 2003 GrupoNueva's CEO publicly announced the group's commitment to the principles of the Global Compact. This is an initiative created in 1999 by the United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, to bring together the business sector, labor groups and civil society in the implementation of ten principles in the areas of human rights, worker rights, fights against the corruption and environmental protection.

GrupoNueva is committed to the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact, and our aim is to continue improving our performance in the areas of human rights, environment, labor, and anti-corruption.

In June 2005 we presented our Communication on Progress report on GrupoNueva's achievements in complying with each of the 10 Global Compact principles.

Likewise, in Amanco’s and Masisa’s sustainability reports for the 2004-2005 period we inform achievements in this area.
